Ask.com extends its license of LookSmart’s AdCenterAdd to February 21, 2007 Yesterday, LookSmart announced that Ask.com has extended its license of LookSmart’s AdCenter for Publishers for another two years. Ask.com uses LookSmart’s AdCenter as a component of its Ask-sponsored PPC advertising service. ASL (Ask Sponsored Listings) consists of an automated open-auction system that allows search marketers to acquire, manage and optimize search marketing campaigns on Ask.com and its extended publisher network. James Speer, v.p. of search marketing products at IAC Advertising Solutions said “we’re focused on delivering results for our advertisers and AdCenter is one component of our overall strategy.” “The AdCenter provides Ask.com with a rugged and expandable platform to better service its advertiser base and revenue in a cost-effective manner,” said David Hills, CEO of LookSmart. “We’re proud to be associated with their success,” added Hills. LookSmart’s AdCenter is often used by Ask.com and Facebook for internal sponsored listings management. It is also used by Internet publishers on all types of online media advertisements, providing them with a dynamic auction platform, algorithmic ad server and a reporting engine. Ask's new platform offers detailed reporting for both the publisher and the advertiser, allowing both to optimize their PPC pricing and ROI. LookSmart also provides an API which allows agencies and large advertisers to interface directly with publishers that are licensing AdCenter technology. Add to Source: Search Engine Journal
